I will be do little children. I think I will focus my research on the television and toys for kids.

We will be meeting with Lily before class on Thursday at 3pm!

alrighty....

lets get it down here what types of media we have to choose from and whatnot so we are prepared for the meeting.

I guess mine would be magazines for my age group, and I have Redbook and Cosmo which a lot of times address those, as well as self...
thursday right after class I have registration and opening dinner for the Quest project. So...that doesnt look good. What is the date for our presentation? I guess we could try to meet this weekend. Lets at least stay a minute after class today to get a meeting time down!

This week is insane for me!! If we meet at all the only time I have available would be Thursday after class. Other than that I am booked solid.

I hope we can meet Thursday if not then just fill me in on what occurs through the blog.

alright,

why don't we find a night that is good for all of us to meet this week....i found the easiest way to do this is to ask for the times when you cannot meet... so from 5-10 monday-friday, what times can you all NOT meet.. that way we can meet at the time that is free to all...

just comment your unavailable times on this post!

and before we meet, its clear that we have the teen and childhood categories left for those who have not picked an area to research

I think I would like to do the teen/college age group and try to focus on pressure to look "hot", and all of the pressure there is from society and media for young girls to look and act a certain way.

Senior

Hey I would like to focus on the Senior aspect. Maybe on the pressure of trying to look young rather than celebrating your older self. For example, the obsession with wrinkles or skin-flaps. I can try to find research on plastic surgery statistics on eye-lid tucks and face-lifts and what have you.

Hey girls,

I will do the motherhood area.. like 25 and up. I think in that area I could focus on how the media makes us think we should be married and have kids.. but we cannot just have kids we need to be married to a MAN in a CHURCH before we should have kids or we are stigmatized.. and stuff like that...

I can get some data on how our government rewards this behavior through taxes and whatnot...
